Allow me to introduce myself. . .

There are some who call me. . . Chew. You may include yourself in those “some” – if you are so inclined – and I am the Operations Manager of The Silver Dragon Tavern & Games in Miami, Florida. I’ve been playing tabletop games since I was in high school, so without giving away my age we’ll say that it’s been enough of a while that I’ve seen some things.

Now, with that being said, there are some things that have slipped by me. I was not immune to the MtG bug, nor did I avoid the dreaded D&D virus of which so many mothers tried to protect against. My adventures through this blog will be devoted to the many new games I will be trying out first hand – as well as the many misadventures of introducing games I enjoy to people who have never played them before.

We’re doing an awful lot of learning – but at least we’re learning together, and that’s what counts, right?

Now, to illustrate my gamer score for you all, this is my journey from beginning to now of the pen & paper games I’ve played (plus a couple of my favorite board games right now) – this is in no way a puffing of the chest or a lineage of pure bred gaming that I’m flaunting here, this is just to show that although I have played my fair share of games and clocked in many an hour rolling dice, I still have a lot that I’ve yet to experience; and as such, the premise for this blog.

So, here’s the list:

West End Games Star Wars, Vampire the Masquerade, Mage the Ascension, Werewolf the Apocalypse, Changeling the Dreaming, Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition, Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition, Wizards of the Coast Star Wars, AEG Sage of the Storm,  Vampire the Dark Ages, Exalted, Legend of the Five Rings 3rd Edition, Star Wars Saga Edition, Vampire the Requiem, Mage the Awakening, Werewolf the Forsaken, Changeling the Lost, Scion, Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition, Legend of the Five Rings 4th Edition, Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition.

Favorite boards games (right now):

Takenoko, Sushi Go, Shadows Over Camelot, Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, and Mysterium.

So, I hope you enjoy the journey along with me and my invited friends.

I will see you at the gaming table!
